  19. I get the same symptoms. I've looked at the Network Status window and found
  20. that the problem is some "hung" connections. It always hangs at one of
  21. three states: "Look up", "Connecting", and "n/n" where n is the total size
  22. of the image being downloaded (i.e. hangs on the last byte.) In my case the
  23. problem seems to occur only with .gif images. I've the gif.datatype 39.16
  24. installed. Coincidence? I can't kill ("X" or "XXX") the  hung connections.
